Sister Suzie

An Introduction To Sister Suzie

Sister Suzie hails from the northern most tip of Northumberland and it was her love of singing R&B that first took her to New Orleans, and then across the UK to Hastings on the East Sussex coast, where she has ma30de her home the last few years. While she appeared with many bands here and abroad, she made her first EP in  July 2016. From out of the session players she hired for that recording Suzie asked guitarist Matt Jackson and drummer Brian Nevill to help form her first band. Soon after bassist Darren ‘Eddie’ Edwards was recruited to form the core of the group, together with a rotating sax section that has included Mike Paice, Aaron Liddard, John Wallace, Nick Lunt and Al Nicholls. Regular appearances in London followed. It was in July 2017 just after their first trip to Europe, that Suzie and the band released their first single ‘I need a man’ on her own label. They are currently working on their first album which will be released this year, watch out for it.

It has been said she’s a little lady with a big voice, you can’t help but move your feet to her explosive rhythm and blues.

The Coverups are an amazingly talented group of local musicians from Hastings, consisting of a 5 piece band covering all the classic party, pop and rock tunes they will have you dancing away and singing along to the classics! From Ed Sheeran to Bon Jovi, Amy Winehouse to Arctic Monkeys!

A local girl with a lot of vocal and musical talent, not only does she sing but she plays the guitar and is a dab hand at looping vocals in the background to construct songs. For 2018 this young talented singer will be opening the night with her vocal delights.
